Dynamic FM Awarded Three-Year Mechanical PPM and Repairs Contract at the University of Salford

Dynamic FM are now delivering a three-year planned preventative maintenance and repairs contract at the University of Salford, running from February 2026 through to 2029. The contract sees Dynamic FM responsible for maintaining pressurisation and boosted water systems across a diverse and complex estate of more than 25 buildings — ensuring that critical mechanical infrastructure remains safe, efficient, and fully compliant at all times.

Supporting a Complex, Multi-Building Estate

The University of Salford is a large, multi-site higher education estate, and the mechanical systems that underpin its day-to-day operations demand a consistently high standard of maintenance. Pressurisation and boosted water systems are critical to building performance — failures or lapses in compliance can have immediate and significant consequences for both the University and the people who live, work, and study within its buildings.

Dynamic FM’s appointment to this contract reflects our established capability in delivering M&E maintenance services across complex, multi-site environments, and our understanding of the specific demands of the higher education sector.

Our Scope of Service

Across all buildings within scope, Dynamic FM is delivering a comprehensive programme of mechanical maintenance, including:

  • SFG20-compliant planned preventative maintenance of pressurisation and boosted water systems
  • Detailed inspections and asset condition reporting
  • Reactive repairs and fault resolution
  • 24/7 emergency response to ensure continuity of service

All maintenance activity is delivered in accordance with SFG20 — the industry-standard framework for building services maintenance — ensuring that every task is carried out to a defined, auditable standard and that the University’s statutory compliance obligations are met in full.

Working in Partnership with the University’s Estates Team

A key element of this contract is the collaborative approach we take with the University’s own Estates team. Rather than operating in isolation, Dynamic FM works closely alongside the Estates function to align our maintenance programme with the University’s wider operational priorities — including its energy efficiency objectives and its long-term journey towards net zero carbon.

Our asset condition reporting gives the Estates team the data they need to make informed decisions about system performance, planned investment, and future replacement programmes — supporting a proactive, rather than reactive, approach to infrastructure management.

Reliable M&E Maintenance for the Higher Education Sector

This contract is further evidence of Dynamic FM’s growing track record in the higher education sector. Alongside our existing relationships with Lancaster University and other leading institutions, our appointment at the University of Salford demonstrates our ability to deliver reliable, high-quality mechanical maintenance services within demanding, people-centred environments.

We are committed to delivering a service that not only keeps critical systems performing safely and efficiently, but that actively supports the University’s broader estate strategy and sustainability ambitions.
