Dynamic FM becomes one of the first Certified Carbon Neutral FM Contractors in the UK
According to the Construction Climate Challenge, the Construction sector is responsible for up to 50 per cent of climate change, 40 per cent of energy usage and 50 per cent of landfill waste, not to mention air, water, and noise pollution and destruction of natural habitats.
Dynamic recognise the Climate Emergency that humanity is facing and realise the need for corporate action. As the effects of climate change and other environmental issues become more pronounced, it’s more important than ever to find ways to protect the environment.
We are very happy to announce that as of 2020, Dynamic FM is fully Carbon Neutral. We have offset over 51 thousand kilograms of CO2 through our partnership with leading climate consultant Climate Partner. We do this by support several development projects around the world. In addition to offsetting carbon, these projects support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and help impoverished communities in isolated parts of the world.
One of these projects is a Gold Standard Verified Clean Cook-stones project is Qori Q’oncha, Peru. This project provides over 100,000 clean cookstoves to some of the poorest people in Peru. This reduces the burning of unsafe and polluting fuel sources which pollute the environment and ultimately contribute to more than 4 million deaths per year.
We also support a Verified Carbon Standards Hydropower project in Indonesia which improves the supply of sustainably generated electricity to the Sumatran grid and provides for the local communities.
