Sale High School — Full Heating System Replacement & BMS Upgrade

Dynamic FM delivered a comprehensive heating system replacement at Sale High School on behalf of Trafford Council, completed during Summer 2023. The works involved the full removal of outdated heating infrastructure and its replacement with a modern, high-efficiency system. Key elements included new high-efficiency gas boilers, replacement of LTHW pipework and radiators throughout the building, and installation of a TREND Building Management System (BMS) for advanced energy monitoring and remote control. The project also encompassed fire alarm integration for emergency shutdown capability, system flushing, water treatment and commissioning, structural modifications to house the new plant, and polished aluminium cladding and insulation to minimise heat loss. Specialist asbestos removal was managed in accordance with HSE regulations ahead of the main works. Delivered on time and within budget in a live school environment, the upgraded system is expected to significantly reduce running costs and carbon emissions in line with Trafford Council’s sustainability objectives.
