Dynamic FM was appointed by Buildzone to deliver the full relocation and upgrade of electrical services at Roberts Bakery in Northwich, as part of the expansion of the site’s “Little Treats” production area. The £1.2 million project encompassed the re-installation and upgrade of both high-voltage and low-voltage systems across the entire facility, including production and raw material areas, a new NPD kitchen, staff welfare facilities, an engineers’ workshop, reception, dispatch, and external silos. A backup generator with automatic transfer switching was installed to maintain oven conveyor operation in the event of a power outage — a critical safety and operational requirement in a live food production environment. Bespoke containment infrastructure, dedicated distribution board systems, and hygiene-compliant power solutions were designed and installed throughout. All works were completed on time, within budget, and with no unplanned shutdowns, requiring meticulous coordination of shutdown sequences to protect continuous bakery operations.
