Dynamic FM Delivers M&E Upgrades Across Manchester Airport Terminal 2
Behind the scenes at one of the UK’s busiest airports, Dynamic FM is delivering high-performance M&E systems to support security, efficiency, and day-to-day operations across multiple operational spaces on behalf of LPL Construction for Manchester Airports Group (MAG).
Valued at approximately £1.5 million, our work spans several secure areas and operational units, with our in-house team responsible for taking designs from RIBA Stage 3 through to full Stage 5 delivery using Revit software for precise 3D modelling and coordination.

A Trusted Partner in a Live, Secure Environment
All works are being carried out airside within the live airport terminal, where the highest standards of coordination, security, and compliance are required. Dynamic FM’s dedicated M&E team — all of whom hold blue passes and have cleared Home Office security vetting — manage the design, installation and commissioning phases end-to-end.
Completed: UK Border Force Accommodation
Our recently completed scheme for the UK Border Force (UKBF) involved a complete M&E fit-out of their new accommodation offices. The scope included:
- Ventilation and ducting systems with supply and extract grilles
- Fan coil heating and cooling systems
- Domestic hot and cold-water services
- Sanitaryware with infrared taps and flush systems
- Air conditioning for the comms room
- LV distribution, DALI lighting, and emergency lighting
- BMS integration with MCP panel control
- Data, power and containment solutions throughout
This complex project was successfully delivered on time, in full compliance with all airport operational protocols.

Upcoming Handover Projects
Over the coming weeks, Dynamic FM will be completing further projects within Terminal 2, including:
- Flow Control Room – a secure observation suite with full glass frontage used to monitor passenger movements
- Touchdown Offices – flexible working spaces for MAG staff and airport stakeholders
- Newport Health Facility – supporting the airport’s operational resilience and wellbeing offer

Digital Delivery with Revit
Each of these schemes has been designed and coordinated in Revit, enabling clash detection, efficient procurement, and smooth delivery from model to site. Our design and site teams work closely to ensure what’s drawn is exactly what’s delivered — a key factor in working in such a high-security, live environment.
We’re proud to support MAG’s development of Terminal 2 with future-ready M&E infrastructure. Our secure, trusted team continues to deliver safely and efficiently in this complex operational setting. We look forward to continuing our work at Manchester Airport in the future — building strong partnerships and consistently demonstrating our ability to deliver works of the highest standard.
