Dynamic FM Delivers Heating Upgrade at Sale High School
Dynamic FM is proud to highlight another successfully completed, comprehensive heating system upgrade at Sale High School on behalf of Trafford Council. This project, undertaken during the Summer, was part of a wider initiative to modernise infrastructure and improve energy efficiency in educational settings.

Enhancing Comfort, Reliability and Efficiency
The £433,000 scheme involved the replacement of outdated heating infrastructure with a modern, high-performance system tailored to the school’s operational needs. Works included the installation of high-efficiency gas boilers, replacement of LTHW pipework and radiators, and a full integration of a TREND Building Management System (BMS) for advanced energy monitoring and control.
Key enhancements also included:
- Structural modifications to house the new heating plant
- Installation of polished aluminium cladding, insulation, and valve wraps to minimise heat loss
- Fire alarm integration to enable emergency shutdown capability
- System flushing, water treatment, and commissioning for long-term reliability
Overcoming Challenges in a Live Environment
Working in a school environment posed unique logistical and safety challenges. Dynamic FM implemented a phased installation strategy to minimise disruption to students and staff. Coordination with the school’s management team ensured that critical activities were completed outside of term time, maintaining the safety and continuity of the learning environment.
Additional project complexities included:
- Careful asbestos management in accordance with HSE regulations
- Just-in-time material deliveries due to restricted access
- Precision planning to avoid service interruptions during term time

A Model for Future School Upgrades
Delivered on time and within budget, this project exemplifies Dynamic FM’s ability to manage complex building services projects in live environments. The upgraded system will significantly reduce running costs and carbon emissions, aligning with Trafford Council’s long-term sustainability goals.
“This project demonstrates our commitment to energy efficiency, technical excellence, and working collaboratively with schools and local authorities. We’re proud to have delivered a solution that will serve Sale High School for many years to come.”
